They Don't respect Christianity, they want it destroyed. That's why they are told to not read the bible, or torah, but to only listen to what their religious leaders tell them about Judaism and Christianity.

How do christians follow the words of god, and moses, abraham etc yet do not respect the jewish laws in the bible? The answer is that people pick and choose what they will follow.

Jesus respected the jews and affirmed their beliefs because how are you going to recruit new members if you say their religion is wrong.

Mohamed respected jesus, and judiac prophets. Why? for the same reason.

So by saying well I respect the past prophets, but no we are not goign to do things as they said allows one to get new converts and have them believe what you want.

I don't think that you have to believe in something to respect the fact that someone else does. Muslims can respect Christians beliefs without sharing the beliefs. On the other hand Christians should respect Muslims beliefs and each should appreciate this respest and chill out. Don't try to force your beliefs on others, they have a right to believe whatever they choose to believe.

BTW, I don't think Jesus would be happy about the amount of anger that comes thru in your original question. Jesus is all about peace and loving others. Try to focus on that message and let go of the anger.

First, you are right, Muslims reject the idea that Jesus is the sun of God, and the Resurrection. But, they do not deny that Jesus was born of virgin, which is one of Allah's most glorious signs to humankind. In fact, the story of Jesus' birth is in the Quran.

But, we do not accept the idea that Jesus was God, or the Son of God because he never said that he was. You can respond to me if you want, but I will tell you now: Jesus never claimed to be God, nor did he claim to be the begotten son of God. So why do you ecpect Muslims to believe something about Jesus if Jesus never told them to?

Third, Muslims do resepct Christianity becuase Christians follow the Torah and the Gospel, which however corrupted they may be, were originally the Word of God. Christianity branches form the same roots as do Judaism and Islam, so Muslims must respect fellow believers in God, even if they believe that their ideas about God or their scriptures may be corrupted.

If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I'd be glad to respond.

They do believe that Jesus was a prophet. If you believe what you just wrote, remember you are saying the same to the Jewish people on this board. Are you saying they do not respect Jesus and are the enemy? people who beliefs are different then yours have a different. Belief. You can respect someone Else's belief without being an enemy.

They don't respect Christianity...Followers of Islam acknowledge that Jesus existed and they believe that he was a prophet of God. However, they don't believe that he died for the forgiveness of the sins for all and was resurrected on the third day. That is one of THE cornerstone pillars of Christian beliefs. Followers of Islam also don't believe that Jesus came to fulfill the Mosaic law and the teachings of the Hebrew prophets. That being said...how can Muslims claim that they follow the same "God" as Christians do?

Islam says Jesus was the Messiah for the Jews.

A Messiah is one sent as a redeemer of sins and a uniter of the tribes.

If the Jews accepted him then they would be forgiven for all their rebellion and slaying of the Prophets.

Muslims believe Jesus was born of the virgin Mary.

Muslims do not believe in the addtions of Rabbi Saul (St. Paul) which are the pagan injections of Mithraism -- Trinity, resurrection and being a son of god.

Muslims believe in the Original message of Jesus before the additions and changes made by men after him.

Oh come on. At least they recognize him as a prophet. Leave them alone. They have their religion and you have yours. To be honest a lot of people look at Jesus the way Muslims do, even including some Christians.

Well, Christianity was started by paul and not Jesus(pbuh).

So I couldn't care less for that.

Islam believes that jesus was born of a virgin birth.

There is not a shred of evidence in the bible where Jesus(pbuh) says I am god or worship me.

Jesus(pbuh) never said he was god why should I believe he is, why should I believe paul and not Jesus(pbuh).

I'll pick Jesus(pbuh) over paul anyday.

Jesus(pbuh) was a prophet of god.

We give respect to you because God referred you in our Holy book as "People of the Book". Moreover, we want to save you from hell fire because of deviating from the teachings of Prophet Abraham.
