First, buy some baby shampoo.
Then, get some paper towels [ soft ones ]
Gently wash that eye/lid with warm water and baby shampoo.
Dry with a clean towel, and throw away everything that touched it.
Do this twice a day until it clears up, and use warm wet compress of paper towels in between.
It is very contagious - so wash your hands after touching eye.
You don't need to go to the doctor unless it gets worse, or spreads.

Styes can be caused by dirt/dust getting into the tear duct and clogging it up. It then becomes irritated and a stye develops. There are topical over the counter ointments that can be applied such as "STYE" that work, or a physician can prescribe a stronger antibiotic.
Your eyesight is not something to mess with, so I would seek the aid of an eye doctor right away.
He can help prevent the irritation from spreading.

You can try this medicine called 'stye'. It is a little expensive and you can find it at your pharmacy next to the eye drops. I had a bad stye and that helped ease it and eventually it went away.

You need to go see the doc and get this treated with antibiotics. Be sure to keep your hand away from your eye and do not use the same washcloth on that eye as you use on the rest of your face so you don't spread the infection. See a doc though in the morning and get it treated.
