I am trying to find out how many calories a human burns every day from simply being alive.

The amount someone who slept or was bed ridden for twenty four hours would use.

I found this number in the past and can't locate it now... I'm curious.

a person under 150lbs - 50cal/hour so thats 1200cal/day
a person above 150lbs - 70cal/hour so thats 1680cal/day
thats if you have a good metabolism
a little less if you have slower one
