Oh come on. If you think they are evil keep it to yourself.

Milspost- a myth is a sacred story. The Bible is considered mythology too, as are all sacred stories. Myths can be true or untrue.

It is a good way to bring in a little money if you are good at making them. You hang them over the bed and it catches the bad dreams and only lets the good ones through.

I don't believe in dreamcatchers. Material things can't 'catch' dream and hold them or dispose of them. Dreams are in your subconscious. You can remember some and not others. And what you want to do with that memory is up to your conscious. Dreams are just your subconscious replaying things that you have already seen, heard, felt, experienced. Your brain never stops working. But they can't be dealt with with a 'catcher'.

I love dream catchers. They have a personal meaning to me, which I can't explain in words, but it goes beyond the the physical world, like colors, positive feelings, certain pieces of music. I'm planning on making some but I can't decide on using the willow things (I guess it's a branch) or grape vine.

I remember making those things when I was like 8... in school.

I think they're mostly metaphor. If you ask me, going to sleep in a warm quiet place with a quiet mind is what promotes good sleep. But a dreamcatcher couldn't hurt.

Dreamcatchers are so beautiful...not in just the creation, but what it means. Each and everyone is so unique (if its made right). The colors have their meanings, the fabric, the material,a the pattern, and the way that you create it (the mood). If you believe in them they will do as you please. I have one over my bed and I love i to death. :)

Sure, some folks put a nail on the wall, others just string'em up to the rearview. Either way they collect just as much dust.

Traditionally, they are hung over the place where someone sleeps. I think they "catch" the bad dreams, to let the good ones in.

I believe dreamcatchers to be marvellous decorations, some of them are very pretty, and who knows? They might be more than that.

But...I doubt it. And that means, almost exactly nothing.

What do I know?
