Not at all. Even when bound for hell, it's good to be eco-friendly.

first off... it wasnt your neighbors call to say your going to hell. judging people is not what your neighbor should have done. it a bad witness.

if you feel comfortable with where you are, tell him that. and also tell him that religion shouldnt be brought up by him. if you want to seek answers you will come to him. car pool if you want. but i think you should talk to him first and just get it out in the open.

Your answer was wrong in every way.
1. You assume your neighbor is being judgemental, not trying to warn you of impending danger.
2. You invited your neighbor to join you in a distasteful situation.
3. You ridiculed your neighbor publicly for doing what he/she thought to be correct behavior instead of exercising the restraint you expected to receive.
4. You neglected to examine the evidence pro and con your neighbor's claim.
Your reply was, indeed, clever from your point of view. In this case cleverness is merely a deception. Logic would have served better than wit. Perhaps it is not too late to learn from each other.

only if you dont like to be preached at!! run dont walk in the opposite direction!!

anyone who is rude enough to tell you that you are going to hell is NOT someone i would want to be trapped with in a car for a given amount of time twice a day!!!

and dont think you are going to change their mind-
you wont -- but given the comment made to you i am pretty darn sure they ARE going to preach at you every minute they can==

you really need to rethink this- it could get really nasty

extremists of ANY kind or religion = are just that - extremists!

You know, with the price of gas still rising, I think that was very generous! It seems that your neighbor can talk the talk, but not much else. Actions speak louder than words, right?

You going to Hell again? Man, you should get frequent flyer miles - let me hook you up with Diabolicair, they're pals of mine, I daresay they'll give you a discount, man.

I don't think you were in the wrong. And your neighbour could have been a little less blunt and a lot more polite.

Yes because nobody carpools in the San Diego Suburbs. (Didn't you know that's where hell is?)

Not if you're going to church with the neighbor.
