you'd be suprised how much you'd like fishing if you ever really tried. my wifes from the Philippines, she had never been out of site of a vehicle, never picked up a gun, and didnt know you could actually kill deer. now, she wants to learn to bass fish with artificial lure, she has her own tree stand, and not only deer hunts durring rifle season, but primitive firearm season also. shes our areas first filipina redneck. shes even starting to get a little bit of a southern accent. :) the only problem with women and hunting, deer camp isnt a place for men to get away from the women anymore.

Not at all. Many happily married couples don't share every activity. Sure, it's great if couples both enjoy the same things, but few women like working out in the garage replacing a transmission with the help of a buddy or two. And few guys want to spend hours looking at spring clothes. BUT, have you tried some of the things fun about outdoors? I know a lot of great ladies, that are also sportsmen. Please, just try to believe me- There ARE outdoor things that you'd like. Try archery. You don't ever need to hunt- there are co-ed target leagues everywhere. It's satisfying to learn to shoot accurately, and women can do as well as any man. Learning to fish isn't rocket science either. And, unless fishing is accompanied by joking and insults- you ain't doing it right. Lady, the reason guys do the whole outdoor sports thing is that it's great fun. Give it a real try. If it isn't for you, too bad. But, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Well no you dont HAVE to go he should be understanding about what you like and dont like to do. If your wanting to be with him you dont have to fish necessarily you can take a chair and lay in the sun , take a book to read or etc.
Sometimes I like to fish by myself but thats rare anymore I like a fishing partner for company , I guess I have been fortunate because my ex girlfriends and current one is interested in fishing so I took them and taught them some about fishing, We had lots of fun.
You could maybe pack a picnic lunch and go sometime, Take a blanket and find a nice shady spot under a tree where no one is around and have lunch . And well who knows what it might lead to . I know I have had some of the memorable moments in the outdoors with women

You can, I doubt he'd want you out there with him every time he goes, but it's always good to get an idea of what your significant other enjoys, and an idea of why. Just remember, if he is out by himself or just the guys, there is no advantage to calling him every twenty minutes (just like if you're out shopping by yourself, there's no advantage to him for calling you every twenty minutes).
And I know it's been said before, but if you don't like fishing, you can go and take a book or whatever... I personally don't see how anyone can be bored fishing, but then again, it has a lot to do with the setting.

From a guy that got divorced cause his wife didn't want him going hunting/fishing...
YES you should go every now & then, but tell him you don't really enjoy it but do not have a problem with him going alone. Act intrested in how his trips went & say you did really good.
It's not PC but the truth of humans is man are hunters/providers & woman the nesters. Try to surpress these natural urgers & your in for trouble.....................

Here's something I learned very early in my marrage, you have to give to get....I h ate shopping but I still do it becouse the wife like to have me there with her and the kids , so that's cool with me...I like to be in the woods and hunting. My wife compromizes while I am out hunting her and her family get everything ready so when we bring home a deer we all can process it together......It is actually quite fun 4 the whole family..A marrage is about complementing each other, by working together you make each other better people, husband/wife, and better parents......It all just takes some time.....love ....and happiness.....lol

Yes, it's called compromise. He comes with me to the bookstore where I spend hours picking out books so that I can get a good book when I go with him to fish at the lake.

Not at all - there's nothing wrong with spending some time apart in a marriage, and can actually be very healthy.
