God did not give the Holy Land to the Ishmaelites. They have taken what is not theirs by force. This current point in time, besides being what is known as the "Church Age", is also the time of the Gentiles. Not all of those who believe in Islam are genetically related to the Jews.
The primary issue, if we really drill down to the base of it all is the value of women. Arabs, however, and whomever gives you your first born, is your first born. Jews believe that the legitimate wife of a man is the only one from whom a legitimate child can come. Servant women, or a woman off of the street, do not count. This is the key point of the whole issue. Ishmael came from a non-wife situation, Issac was the legitimate first born. Get the Arabs and the rest of their kind to accept that, and the whole issue would go "poof". Don't hold your breath waiting though.

Where do you get that idea that G-d gave the holy land to the Ishmaelites.

Perhaps you have your information incorrect or incohesive although we know that when the children of Israel sinned against G-d by profaneing him, by taking other gods which they have not known, they merrited to be thrown out of the land, but a few who did not worship other gods, G-d sustained them there in the land. Israel has never lost the land, it was taken from them by there dissobediance to G-d, and given back to them when the prophets prediction were fulfilled upon their return, for the promise of salvation is for the jews. As it is spoken: In that day all of Israel shall be saved.
And our land was given to us as an inheritance by our creator.
