I think I would get one. It wouldnt change my feelings about the man who I have loved and thought was my dad my entire life, but I think I would want to know for sure.
There is the reasoning for medical issues as well. If you ever need your medical history then u honestly dont truly know it unless u know your biological father.
I think I would discuss it over with my parents and see what they think. But, make sure if u do decide to get one that u make your dad understand your feelings for him would not change if it turned out that he isnt your bio father.
He is the man who raised u as his son all these years and who has nurtured u and been there for u. Dont forget that. He chose to let his suspiscions lie and be a daddy to u knowing he may not actually be. That counts for something and he is one heck of a man if u ask me.
Good luck to u. And remember "Any man can be a father, it takes a REAL man to be a daddy"

without knowing who the other guy could be? No the man raised you and loved you, he is your father in every sense of the word, let him keep that. If you know who the other guy might be then do it simply to find out if you are at risk for genetic problems like cancer or things like that.

I would cause I would want to know where i was from. But it does not mean you want to. You have been living your life and it really shouldn't matter who your real father is if you have a father who loves you. So you decide.
