Too much. $494 per semester credit hour.

You would be much better served by attending a community college or state university online. Here are a few.

http://www.depts.ttu.edu/ode/CollegeOverview.asp
Fort Hays State - $137.50 per semester credit hour
Peru State - $130 per semester credit hour
University of Wyoming - $134 per semester credit hour.
University of Florida - $173 per semester credit hour
American Public University - $250 per semester credit hour including books.
All of the above examples charge the same rate to online students regardless of where they live. For example, an online student of University of Wyoming that lives in Georgia pays $134 per semester credit hour which is the same as an online student that lives in Wyoming.
Good luck

Legitimate? Yes. Respectable? No. The school is accredited. However, it is a For Profit Corporation that costs a lot more than respectable public universities. The school was fined a record $9.8MM last year for sleazy recruiting practices and is currently under investigation for padding their placement numbers. Employers do not respect people with degrees from the school for two reasons. The first is that the school accepts nearly everyone. The lack of standards makes it hard for people to know what they are getting. The second is that it is felt that the classes taught there are light on the material. Companies like Intel have recently decided that they will not pay for employees to take classes there because they lack rigor.

Even though the tuition is high for this college, it is a very good university. I never thought I would go back to college to get my Master's degree- I am married have two girls and I work full-time. Above that I work shifts where I work a different shift each week. It would be almost impossible for me to go to a traditional college. I am two classes away from getting my Masters in Business degree.

I was quoted $18,000 for my AA in Business. I then received $9,000 in Grants. So I SHOULD have been billed for $9,000 when I was done. BUT, I when I finished I received a bill for $24,000+!!!!! They are a total ripoff! I could have taken it cheaper at a community college and had better help! Hell, I could have gone to Central Washington University for the same price and had a better education! Tech support was terrible. Financial process, when I was done and trying to get the answers as to why my price on tuition had gone up, was absolutely horrific! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

University of phoenix is $494 per credit hour, but that is going to be going down in the next couple of months, that is for your BA degree, if you need to you can start out with your AA degree for $295 per credit hour.

Hi all,
UoP has some really mixed opinions on it's degrees, mainly because they are so expensive. I recommend checking out this website here for more options/choices: http://onlineuniversitytips.com/fees/ Good luck finding a great & affordable online college!
Best wishes, Diana :)

I do believe that for their bachelors degree, it is 460 per credit hour.
It's expensive, and they are pushy. I didn't like them, so I went with Penn Foster College. I like them a lot more, and they're much more affordable and trustworthy! Plus, all their credits transfer!
Best of luck!
