What do these two quotes mean?
1)Every man is guilty of all the guilt he didnt do- Voltaire
2)Guilt is anger directed at ourselves-at what we did or did not do- Peter Mcwilliams

They seem similar. The first is advocating the "guilty" side of life maybe, saying that at the end of life, everyman should have lived it up, and is therefor guilty if he did not. At least that's my interpretation.
The second quote is just the definition of guilt - we feel bad if we did something wrong, or if we didn't do something that we should have done. The difference is that Mcwilliams defines this "bad" feeling as inwardly-directed anger.

the first one should read "all the GOOD he didn't do."
then it it will make sense.
