Me and my bf have been together for 3 yrs going on 4. He's always said he wants to be with me or marry me but lately he's been saying it kinda if differently. It sounds like he's really serious and he tells me he's never felt this much in love with a person than ever before in his life. He just joined the army five months ago and thats when it all started happening. What do you think?

I think it takes more than just being ready. It takes age and maturity. You need to know exactly what you want and tell him. He needs to tell you the same.

You need to be older than 25 before you even think about it.

The reality is, you should know if you can live with someone after the first year and a half. If it ain't right then, it's never going to be right. You should move on.

I think he is looking for some stability now that he is in the Army and is probably a little unsure of his future. You are a stable part of his life when everything else is on flux. This is not the proper time for him to be making this decision, if you decide to get married ask for a long engagement period so that the rest of his life becomes more normal before the date comes up. Right now, he is probably wanting to rush right into it.

He'll tell you he wants to have children with you. Just about everyone (even guys) feel like this at some point. As a guy, you generally feel this way when you know you've met the woman of your dreams.

I knew it the moment I met my girl. I introduced myself and the very next thing I said was "You're going to have my children!"

She laughed and told me she was getting married in a few months. Embarressed, I told her I was serious. She laughed again.

Never the less, we kept in contact, I tried my best to tell her she was marrying the wrong guy. She ended up getting married, and left her husband a day after the wedding.

We now have 1 beautiful baby girl with another on the way.

Good luck!

Listen to scramble. He's probably saying something similar to a girl in Dubai or whereever he is deployed.

Edit: Daniel, you're a dumbass. Having rugrats with a woman doesn't equal love, just look at all the single mothers out there.

My only concern would be that because he joined the army, he wants someone "waiting for him" when he gets home. He may be insecure about you leaving him when he's on a tour of duty.

I am a guy and take it from me, you can NOT predict the future. Guys will say whatever fits the moment the best.
