From my understanding, Judaism is the oldest record we have that condemns homosexuality.

Certain cultures, such as the Babylonians, Romans and Greeks embraced homosexuality as something good and should be practiced.

Of course all of these great empires are gone and only traces remain while the Jews keep chugging along despite all the attempts to wipe them off the face of the earth. Interesting.

Other world religions didn't always go one way or the other. Some believed that giving up the worldly needs - giving up the desires of the body - was the most important thing. So denying sexuality in general was seen as good. This meant all forms.

Too my knowledge, no other religious group condemned homosexuality before the Jews. They were the first.

The Jews do not choose you till you're VERY severe. it is not elementary to become an familiar Jewish convert. The OT condemns homosexuality in far greater ideal words than the NT does, yet no be counted if modern-day Judaism will pay heed to this or not i don't understand. i'm effective the greater orthodox sects do.

I would take issue with the fact that Judaism condemned homosexuality in the first place. If they did, it isn't recorded in any of their pre-Rabbinical religious literature or legal codes (the verse in Leviticus condemns the ritual prostitution practiced in ancient Palestine).

Expert opinion number one: Put spaces after commas in order to have your words appear in answers.

Demi-expert opinion number two: It's inconsistent across the board. Opinions regarding homosexuality appear to be culturally based and then applied to the religion. Therefore, geographic and language barriers are more conclusive about the opinions regarding all sexual practices than religious ones.

just because it is a religion doesnt me that you believe G-d condemns homosexuality. As a jew I believe that gay marriage is fine and my rabbi has performed gay marriages. Just because christians believe something and they are a spin off of judaism does not mean all jews believe the same thing.

God condemns the act of homosexuality, not religions. Religions abide in the laws and commandments of God.

Umm how about God condemned it first. Had nothing to do with a religion condemning homosexuality. God said it, and therefore, its settled! :)
