Okay this is my first time actually talking to a guy on the relationship level....anyways he tells me how he really likes me and all that crap.....then it takes a week before I hear from him again....this doesn't sound right 2 me...buuut like I said its my first time talking 2 a guy on the rel. level....Okay my girl gave me the excuse he might be working or something buuuut I think this excuse is lame x 10...anyways im thinking of telling him lets just be friends...it seems like this will be less of a headache....what do u think i should do or any other advice would be welcome? ^_^

i think i agree with you. anyone that likes you as much as he's expressing it will definitely not wait a week to contact you again. did he say why cause if he cared that you would be concerned that you hadnt heard from him he would have said something to keep from having any confusion. if you want to save yourself from potential heart break skip this one. i think you know this!

Instead of trying to read his mind, you should ask him. Why hasn't he called in so long, ask him where he thinks the relationship is going. Maybe he really was busy, maybe he is a player. Talk to him and be open and honest about what bugs you, what you want, and what you want to know from him. Guys respect girls who don't play mind games. If he doesn't know that it bugs you to not hear from him in a week, he may continue to do it. Talk to him and no-one knows him better than you, communicate and trust your gut instincts, don't ask a stranger...sorry but this is something you need to figure out on your own.

Know what you want and ask for what you need. This will help you place the appropriate expections on your dating relationships. Get it clear up front. Perhaps he is juggling women and waiting arond to see which one will rise to the top. If you like him and find him attractive, then ask him out. Everything does not have to be recipricated, however, this will better help you understand what he wants out of a dating relationship with him. Don't guess, go for the information from him.

Whatever you do, don't play games. If you do just want to be friends with him, great. But if you want more, you should probably tell him how it makes you feel when you don't hear from him for so long. It's best to start a relationship by being honest. If he doesn't understand, then he's not worth it anyway.

I guess I would say it depends how old he is, because he could just be attempting to be cool and wait to get in touch with you again, but if he is in any way mature I would think that he would want to talk to you as often as possible if he likes you so much.
