My mom knows about my boyfriend.... now it's like 4 years of relationship....
Well if your parents are easy going and friendly there is absolutely no problem in sharing with them about your guy....
But if they are not then it gets a little creepy and if you don't want to mess up and still have fun, just let them know you have a best friend who is a guy :) and if it turns out long term...you can always tell them............

well unless your planing on having your parents not trust you in the future i say tell them before they find out. also if your parents dont know about it you must think the relationship isnt going to go anywhere. you shouldnt hide your relationship ... what if you fall in love with this boy..

You should go ahead and tell him, you don't want to have any problems, if you tell your dad about your bf, your letting him know that you trust him enough and want to share that with him. Good Luck

i absolutely didnt want my parents knowing that i had a boyfriend, i thought they would start treating me different and act weird when i went out or he came over...but since i told them its been cool--they basically encourage me to invite him over! so i definately think its best you mention it to them even if youre uncomfortable at first (like i definately was)....it makes things a lot easier, and you dont have to worry about sneaking around & lying to them :)
