Use the "bunny ear" method. Tie the shoe with a "bunny ear" loop then wrap the other lace around it and pull it through. Have the blind person feel each step as you do it thoroughly. It is possible and they can do it, it just takes practice.

Position yourself as to let the blind person hold onto your fingers as you tie thier laces so that they can feel your movements and they will learn.

same way you would a sighted child - put your hands over theirs and tie the laces - with practice you've got no worries!
