overall weight loss.
we cant choose which body parts to lose the weight off.
if you do sit ups - it will make those areas look bigger because there is gona be more muscle underneath the layer of fat.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

A combination of intense aerobic activity (jogging, jumping rope, swimming) and cutting calories is the only true way to reduce body fat. No matter what the commercials or fad equipments may lead you to believe, you can't "spot reduce" -- which means take fat off a specific area.

If you decide you'd like to build back muscles , I'd say your best bet would be a rowing machine.

Running or swimming combined with a healthy diet should do the trick. It should be something that you can do 4 or 5 days a week. Take care.

unfortunatley, you can't spot reduce a fatty area. a good cardio routine should reduce the amount of "back fat".

Try aerobics or dancing. I did that and my back is normal now.
