My opinion...? Alright.
There is no "right" religion, or a "wrong" one.
It depends on the person.
If a person has open opinions about God and such, they are usually Pegans, or U.U.'s, or a very nice Christian. In which case, which ever religion they choose is the "true" religion for them.
If a person is very close-minded and believes that God is the only great and all-powerful thin out there, etc, they will probably be a full-blown Christian.
It is usually better to keep an open mind about such things, because if you don't, you might turn out to be horribly wrong in the end.
(I am sorry if my answer has offended any full-blown Christians out there. )

Sorry to disagree with most answers but the fact is that most Christian churches do NOT say they are the only true religion. Indeed they welcome people of all religions into their churches.
ONLY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH claims to be the ONLY true church.
The Pope, when he was known as JOE RATINGER wrote an encyclical which ANYONE can read in which he said:
Only the Catholic church is the true church. All other churches are DEFECTIVE (actual word right out of the encyclical). He goes on to say that any church except the CATHOLIC church has NO RIGHT to call itself a CHURCH !!! but only a "religious community".
All the above is word for word in the encycical. If anyone in ANSWERS doesn't believe this was written by the Cardinal Joe Ratzinger, he can being it up FREE on GOOGLE. Just type in :
DOMINUS IESUS
Please notice that I have in no way criticized what the Cardinal wrote or what Catholics think or do. I am merely giving out information which is there for ANYONE to judge for themselves.
The question was asked if any religion was true or untrue and I have given you the information.
When DOMINUS IESUS was published of course the Archbishop of Canterbury and many of the other heads of churches worldwide
gasped in disbelief and wonderment that the Pope's right hand man and next in line for the papacy would make such a statement.
Most Christians (other than catholics) felt that Ratinger had just put back ECUMENISM (the joining of all Christians) BACK about 500 years ! But most catholics that I have spoken to (including my own relatives and priest friends that I have known since childhood) agree with the Cardinal (now Pope) . In other words they are saying to everyone who is not roman catholic"
MY GOD IS BETTER THAN YOUR GOD
MY CHURCH IS BETTER THAN YOUR CHURCH
YOUR CHURCH SHOULD NOT BE CALLED A CHURCH
YOUR CHURCH IS DEFECTIVE

According to the Bible, choosing evil instead of good is wrong and damnable (John 3:19-21)
Believing in Christ is doing good and following his word (doing good)
You can do good without Christ (Romans 2:14-16).
As far as fake gods, Jesus has taught us what those would be, but this is a thesis, if you will.

each thing that we've is purely an alteration of a prior way of life. the 1st Christians borrowed thoughts and traditions from the Pagans, because of the fact they shared an identical subculture, then they introduced in further and added Pagan traditions to purpose to charm to the Pagans to alter over to their faith.Easter, Christmas, they characterize Christ's start and rebirth and are significant days to Christians; yet on an identical cases there is yuletide and Ostara, that are Pagan Sabbats that worship the Earth and their Gods, so it is a great accident that all of them fall around an identical time. The trinity to me purely feels like the Triple Goddess, 3 is a holy quantity final touch in Christianity and an identical in Wiccan and previous Paganism. Idols is user-friendly in all religions, all and sundry seems to choose a parent of their God to wish to. besides the incontrovertible fact that, maximum Pagans don't think in Hell, they have faith in a continuing rebirth till we learn all we are in a position to in an enlightened point and a few have faith in summerland, that's Pagan Heaven. All religions have an identical consistencies in them, if i've got been you i might seem in at previous Egyptian strategies and notice the similarities, besides as Sumaria. i think of that each and anyone religions have a certainty to them, purely relies upon which one speaks to you.

It is my opinion, but also what the Bible says. That all other religions are false, that they are foolishness, and that they are there to serve man, and even can be pointed to as the work of the devil or Satan.
Jesus pointed to himself as the bringer of the only truth. And that's what the Bible says, no opinion necessary.

that's what the christians say.
all religions state that theirs is the only true religion and that all others are wrong.
so even if there is one right religion (which there isn't), there's not possible way to know which one it would be.

I think it's untrue. I think the bible is false. Christians disagree with me. I would prefer to agree to disagree, but sometimes that's just not possible.
