The outdoor temperature has nothing to do with sunburn. You can get burned when it's below freezing.
What protects you is clothing and sunscreen. Why do you think people wear sunscreen when they're skiing or waterskiing? The sun's effect is the same...maybe more so near water (frozen or not) because the rays reflect and can cause a significant burn.
Whether it's below zero or over 100...protect yourself.
And yes...you can get burned even on a cloudy day!

oh heck yes. Sunburn has nothing to do with the heat outside, it's the UV rays that are emitted by the Sun. It's possible for someone to get sunburned when its only 30 degrees outside. It just may be way to cold for someone to sit outside long enough to get color!! I got a killer sunburn on my back yesterday and it was only like 73 out!!

Hi! Yes, it is possible, because it depends on how strong the sun is, not how hot it is. For example it could be very windy but the sun is blazing. I've seen cases of sunburn when back from skiing, so i guess that answers you question!! Skiers have been too close to the sun, that's why, not because it was hot. You should always be careful with the sun, stick a hat on, spread some sun lotion (when the sun is out, even if it's cold). Ok, hope I helped! xx

yes people get sunburned more it seems like when its not as hot because they dont think they need sunscreen. Even when it is cloudy out you can get sunburned. I would suggest always wearing sunscreen no matter what the weather is. SPF 20 is all that is needed really, but if you dont want to get sunburned on cooler days you should still put it on.

You can get a sunburn when it is freezing. If you are on the water or on snow and in the sun, you risk sunburn if you don't use sunblock. Jason

yes you can get burned when its cloudy or foggy because the clouds diffuse the UV rays in a different way making it more likely that you will get burned. it is a good idea to wear a sunscreen SPF 15 or 20 everyday for general protection.

Yes. Depending on what skin type you are..fair complexion-you will burn more easily even in cloudy weather. If you tan easily you would get the same amount of sun, you just would not necessarily "burn"

Yes, you certinaly can, it's not the heat of the sun that cuases the burn but the strength of the sun on a particular day.
