I just can't figure it out.

I added them to the C:\Windows\Fonts
folder before I came here to ask how. I thought I had done something wrong because I can't get it to show up - that being said - how do I add new fonts I've downloaded to my C:\Windows\Fonts
to Photoshop 6.0??

Just drag the new fonts into the folder c:\windows\fonts

Adobe will find them there when you start Photoshop.

You put it in your Fonts folder which is located in C:\Windows\Fonts
(C: can be something else)

Now if you do that a lot, it may slow your computer down eventually, so I suggest getting font manager software, where you put your fonts in any folder you want and activate them only when you need them.
Here's a good one:

all you have to do is install them in windows and you will be able to use them in photoshop. go to Control Panel / Fonts. Cut and past them in the Fonts folder and this will install them. Then use them in photoshop... its just that easy.. lol..
