Unless I am under a doctors care, I will take a trip to the morgue and have an autopsy performed.

After that, I will make another trip to a mortuary where my body will be prepared for burial. Once that is done, I go to my Parish Church where there will be a wake, and a funeral mass.

When that is done I get one final car ride for a trip to the cemetery where my body will remain until the return of my Lord and God.

As for my soul. I would like to say that I go straight to Heaven, but I know that I will require some final purification of my sould for the sins that I commit every day. I hope and pray that if Heaven isn't my next stop, I will go to Purgatory.

When I die, others will still be alive getting on with their lives. Perhaps I'd like to think some may mourn my demise, but that will depend on what I did in life. When I die, I shall be no more, so I won't be conscious and therefore I won't be in a position to know what happens following my death. So there is no point worrying about it.

The bible makes it very clear.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

We will stand before God one day, whether we like or agree with it, or even believe it. Just because we don't want to does not mean that we do not have to. People can question it all they want to, and try to disprove it all they want to, but that will not change the reality of the judgement of God. The truth is we have all sinned, therefore we are in need to repent of that sin, and put our faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ, as the only way into heaven. I have sinned greatly. I am not excluded. I am not judging anybody, because I am including myself in the equation of sin. I just bring truth no matter what the consequences. I have love for ALL especially the ones that hate me.

That subtle forms exist in the ether has been proven by modern science by transmission of television, by which forms or photographs of one place are transmitted to another place by the action of the ethereal element. Within the Srimad-Bhagavatam is the potential basis of great scientific research work, for it explains how subtle forms are generated from the ethereal element, what their characteristics and actions are, and how the tangible elements, namely air, fire, water, and earth, are manifested from the subtle form. Mental activities, or psychological activities of thinking, feeling, and willing, are also activities on the platform of ethereal existence. The statement in Bhagavad-gita that the mental situation at the time of death is the basis of the next birth is also corroborated in many places in the Bhagavatam. Mental existence transforms into tangible form as soon as there is an opportunity.

You stand before Christ and receive his judgement. As some answerers have mentioned heaven or hell are the possible destinations, but no one yet has mentioned purgatory. This is place for those us who are not yet perfect, and it gives me great hope to know that such a place exists. Sure it will not be happy happy times there as we are purified but at least it ends in heaven. According to Dante the sign over hell reads "Abandon all hope ye who enter here", I suppose the sign over purgatory would read "Your hope shall be rewarded".

i believe that your spirit or soul goes to a much better place, you can call it heaven or what ever you do. I also believe that you will be greeted by friends and family that have gone on before you. I don't believe in hell because I believe that God is forgiving that when we have the chance to meet with him after we have died between him and I, we will be able to work through all the mistakes I made while I was on earth and he will be able to help me come to peace with it. I also believe that even after you die that your spirit can come back to the present and be able to help and give comfort if need be to the living.

Absent from the body.... present with God

Hebrews 9:26-28 (New International Version)
26Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

When I die?

I believe that the electro-chemical activity in my brain will cease and I will stop thinking and perceiving.

I believe that is the end of it.

I believe your soul departs from the body , and enters into a afterlife. I believe in a heaven and a hell. I 'm sure Jesus Christ is the only way to Father GOD in heaven. those who have chosen to reject him will face a eternity apart from his presence in hell.
