It's either planned or (more likely) she 'subconsciously complied' in the same way that people who are publicly 'hypnotized' will do stuff out of character just because there's this kind of internal expectation.
No sane court would ever award her any injury for losing balance (that's assuming she didn't do it on purpose, which she more than likely did)--if she tries to claim a 'holy' version of telekinesis pushed her over she'll be laughed out of court.

Paul says the Holy Spirit "is not a spirit of disorder(I Corinthians 14) but of peace".When people get out of control like that, they are either filled with "some other spirit ",or are just carnal and need the attention.
I remember as a boy ,there was this guy who'd come into church about once a month and start flailing around and kicking the walls. The pastor told him to stop.He said "Oh,pastor ,when the spirit comes on me ,I can't contain myself!"
"Next time ",the pastor said," we will just throw out the container then !"

It is poor planning on the church to not have an usher behind her to catch her. That being said, there are opportunists that will extort whatever they can from the church for money.
If she was hurt, and there was an usher behind her, then the church may have an obligation to assist.
If, however, she fell on her own, thinking that there was somebody behind her, when there wasn't, the church should be absolved.
I would take it to a jury.
Is it wrong to assume she planned it? If the evidence indicates so, then no.

Dear Dethklok.
The "lady" you were reading about does not sound like she is a real christian. But...who am I to judge??? It would not be right for her to sue the church. Some of the weird things that are done in churches we never know about---
Hope this helped your survey some what.

If I were th ePator and she won the case, I would bring the money to her in a brief case and say, "I am reporting to the church that all the tithing the church has offered is going to you." Maybe it would make her feel quilty that God's money is going to her, maybe not, I mean where does she think the money she will get is coming from, from every member of the church.

Suing is the american way and god has the deepest pockets, so let her go ahead and sue. She doesn't sound truly religious anyway, since I'd think a real religious person would be concerned about screwing up their chances at a cushy afterlife by suing.

From personal experience....when you are "slain" in the Spirit, you relax are so totally relaxed you aren't real likely to be hurt...and when I have been in such services there was always an usher behind to gently help the person to the floor.
