From a few days to a few months to never.
If you were laid off for lack of work, the company has to have an increase in orders to justify calling you back.
Periodically, check with HR an ask them what is happening. has anybody been called back, has anybody else been laid off. This might be an indication of how soon you might be called back.
Meanwhile, do sign up for unemployment. If your unemployed is from lack of work, you could be eligible. You can do it on line.

a few days to a few weeks...the trick is to call...make sure they know you're still interested and "just checking on the status of the job" to see if the position is still available...if it is, you still have a fighting chance and you should keep calling every few days
