I think that Teddy Roosevelt had the key...."Speak softly and carry a big stick".

It depends why you're saying it. If you're trying to establish a system around your beliefs, with roles for people to play, that's called a cult. It's easy enough to do as an enterprise. I'm saying this as a warning. All you have to do is imagine what you think people should be doing in your life (compare Isaiah 65:2 which warns against pursuing your imagination) and next thing you know, you'll be acting it out. With any luck, those people are looking to keep the peace and they'll go along with it. I don't recommend it. They won't, however, necessarily agree with you, because they'll have their own roles to play in the drama in your head. You might congratulate yourself about your tolerance in letting this be the case.
Otherwise, a second approach is described in 1 Corinthians 13, where it describes love. Another tip - Colossians 2:18 talks about those who worship angels. An angel is a messenger. Worship here means ceremonies or rites. This means that some people seem to spend their whole time how to make other people feel special because of the messages that they bring, without paying any attention to what the messages are. It's easy to be fooled. If you want people to pay attention to YOU, you need to do the same for them. Ceremonies around other people that don't include their feelings will not do the trick. (Compare Isaiah 65:3)

Why would you think you need to? Unless you are in the middle of raising supports for an election or something. I don't think I need to influence people to agree with me except a few people, my children and my wife.
PS: why dont you try to read a book on the subject, such as "How to win friends and influence people"

Dear Bird,
1. Get their attention. Never speak until all eyes are on you.
2. Do your homework. Do you know what you are talking about. Get help from the library, if necessary.
3. Have a voice of authority. Don't be a wimp.
4. Dress neatly.
5. Don't hang with the wrong crowd.
6.Treat everyone like they were your best friends.
7. Don't be needy.

If you want to influence people, lead by example. If you set a good example, people will follow.

You cannot influence anyone they have to find out on their own. Jesus did not influence the Judism beliefs in his time.

Although I know there are books and seminars on the subject, in my opinion people should be very careful with this idea.
You could potentially set yourself up for a huge fall.
blessings :)

Shave your head in a mohawk and paint your hair it green. This will reassure people you are not an idiot looking for attention.
