I worked for JC Penney, and they DO resize, and they DO resize for free. It just depends on the price of the ring.
I'm assuming since it is a wedding ring you paid a lot for it, so take your receipt to the watch repair section and they will take care of it for you there.
JC Penney does send it off to a jeweler, so it of course will take a little longer than just going to a jeweler yourself....but it should be no more than about a week.
If I were you, I'd go to Penney's first to see if they are going to charge you or not. If they are going to, then go to a jeweler and compare the price...if not, then definitely do it where you can get it done for free! haha.

Just take it to a jeweler near by.
If you ask for a quick service it can take as long as five hours, but if you'd rather pay around 10 dollars less, it'll be about 4-6 days before you can go and get it.
I suggest a jeweler for the best service. It's real easy, no hassles, and they'll do a wonderful job. It's safer, affordable, and i'm pretty sure it'd be a lot less of a hassle then dealing with JC Penny.
Best of luck.

no longer pennys offers free sizing cause i purchased a ring there and they would not resize it for me without a fee . I was kind of angry about that so i went to the mall and it took about 5 days to resize my ring . so you would be better off just finding a jewelry store and let them do the job.

One thing to keep in mind is the material and construction of the ring. Is it just a simple plain band, or does it have beading or any design that goes around the edge of it?
If it is a plain band, then sizing can be done to it without damaging it, if it has beading or a design detail to the edge of it, you will loose that if it is resized. In this situation, they make a spacer that is attached to the inside of the ring to take up the extra space without affecting the appearance of it.
If it is a plain band, some jewlers offer same day service, but this is becmming rare, most offer 1 wek service.

I would call Penny's first. Most jewelry stores will offer the first sizing free, not sure about Pennys. But call them and ask them. If they don't, then I'd take it to a reputable jeweler. It should take a week or 2.

There are alot of places that can do it within 3 hours...you just have to look around. There is usually a same day serivce in the mall.. Just make sure they do it in store..there are alot of places that ship their jewelry out and you really don't want that many people handling your wedding band

You can try taking it to JCPenney, but they will only send it out to a jeweler so you can save time by taking it there yourself. I had my engagement ring sized today and it took a jeweler less than an hour to size it up 2 sizes. It fits great.

Ask JC PENNY. Most places say between a week and 3. They have to let you know when "YOUR PRODUCT" will be avaliable for pick up (BY LAW.) make sure you get it down in writing.
