Creative writing might be a good subject for him to study. I think his last book sucked.

That is verrrry witty.
Why is everyone so threatened by having God in the school?
I agree that it should be by choice that there is prayer, but that it would bring hope for some to have God back in the school.
NOT religion, but God. It does not have to be Christian God.
If there could be some kind of balance & lack of judgement it could be great. But then when we have people who believe that their way is the only way then that causes problems. I do believe in Christ, but I do not believe that it is realistic to expect everyone else to adhere to my beliefs. As a matter of fact, when we insist this I believe that we push more people away by mere principal.
As far as being against the constitution, having God in the school is different than having the "church" in the school.
A little story:
A child left a note on the teacher's desk, that the teacher read later & did not know who put it there.
It said; Dear God, Why did you let all those children die in that school when the bad person shot them?
On the back of the note, God's reply was; Didn't you hear?
I'm not allowed in the schools anymore?

Yup, i think of they should placed each and every of the Gods returned in school, the Christian God, Allah, Buddha, and all the the remainder of them too. heavily, on the 1st day of sophistication, each and every of the sons and daughters ought to study how plenty evidence there is for each God. coach them approximately atheist-ism and agnosticism besides. i think of this could be an extremely sturdy factor to prepare infants the their isn't any evidence of any Gods, that there are various Gods to confirm on between, and that no longer believing in any God isn't a sin that is shown. i think of it is a sturdy thought because of the fact it may help infants to end being brainwashed by potential of one faith, that's a poor factor. enable's make the infants clever, no longer fanatical.

Actually, that was a good comeback. I'd tell the neighbor that he's free to send his children to parochial schools. Public schools are secular. It has to do with the Constitution and the separation of Church and State. If he has a problem with that, perhaps he'd like to move to another country, like Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan where it's ok to mix religion and politics.

I am not here to say whether it was right or wrong, but I do always believe we need God back in schools. God doesnt need to learn anything, but the people who attend the schools do need to learn about God.

Maybe it would help if your neighbor returned the school... to re-learn the US Constitution.

Yes, you were - it may have offended him, and caused him some pain.
It was funny, but please try to use your wit for good, not for evil.
Its a strange thing that many non-Christians want to send their kids to Church Schools so they will pick up some morality and ethics, since these aren't tught in most state schools.
