" Trimalchio ordered the servant to care diligently for his clothes."

Now there has to be a word missing, like "custodit" = "(he)watches")
" The servant (watches) the clothes so nobody would steal them/ lest anybody would steal them."

" The servant is afraid he might be punished (more literally, less colloquially: "lest he be punished") by Trimalchio."

In the first sentence is lacking the subject of the sentence. In any case it must be: Trimalchius instead of Trimalchio. Because the end in "o" corresponds to dative or ablative case.
The second sentence is lacking the principal verb, because the verb "tollat" is in present tense, subjunctive. And this sentence does not depends on the first sentence because the first one ends with a period sign.
Under these considerations, the translation could be:

Trimalchio ordered the servant to take care of the clothing.
The servant (must be carefull, in order to avoid) that someone does not steal those clothes.
The servant is afraid of being punished by Trimalchio.
