The Bible says this:
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."
(Hebrews 11:6)
Jesus has given us this promise:

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." (John 5:24)

and again:

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
John 3:36

and again:

"He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."
John 1:10-13

When we come to God, we must take Him at His word. It is faith that pleases Him.
Often we look for a feeling, but feelings are deceitful and changeable.
If we put our trust in a feeling we are on very shaky ground, because feelings change.
The word of God never changes.
What God has said, He says.
If He said:
"...whoever comes to me I will never drive away."
(John 6:37)
then He will never drive away those who come to Him.
You need to read the Bible for yourself. I highly suggest you start with the Gospel of John.
Read until you find a sure promise that you feel is addressed to and includes you. Take this promise before God and pray to Him on the basis of what He says. Be humble, but be bold. God is not afraid that He will be unable to uphold His word.
If you had a promise from some wealthy man that he would surely help you, and he put it in writing, if you asked him to pay just one month's rent, he would surely do it, even if it were only to avoid the embarrassment of being proven to be a liar.
How much more then can we take God at His word?
This then is the order of things:
1)Fact. (the promise of God's word)
2)Faith. (believe in your HEART He said what He means and means what He says)
3)Feelings. (eventually, feelings will follow, like a caboose follows the rest of the train.)

Millions have taken Him at His word, and if you do not waver or become unbelieving, you will certainly not be disappointed.

Peace to you.

You are sealed with the Holy Spirit. He indwells you and will never leave you. Your emotions may or may not play a part in the whole thing. Some people never "feel" any different until later. That's what happened to me. But I knew by by belief in the Word. Do you believe He will save you if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and repent (make a turn a round) of your sins in your heart? Hes says He will save you, do you believe Him? Well, then you're saved because you belief He died for your sins. All the Christian faith and assurance is based strictly on the Word of God and never on feelings. As you go about your life, the Holy Spirit will make you conscious of things you wouldn't consider before. You'll see the evidence of your salvation as you go along. And then, others will also see a change in you. They mention this to you. There will be a difference, whether you "feel" different or not. Give it time and put all your trust in the Word.

This is probably the hardest question to answer.

You live life to its fullest everyday. At the same time, you try to do what is right. Then for some unknown reason, you may do something wrong or make a mistake. Then you wonder, why me? What have I done to deserve this? You pray, you give your offering to Church, and Bless others in need. And still, you struggle to find the correct path to Righteousness.

Remember, Jesus was perfect. He died for our sins. He died for our faults. He sacrificed his life for you and me. All we can do is try to be perfect. But, what we must do everyday is accept and acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior. You have to believe it with your heart and soul. Once you can acknowledge His power and love, then, if you haven't been Baptized, you should be Baptized, because you will be reborn again. It is hard to explain the feeling, but once you are Baptized, you'll have a joyous feeling in your heart that can not be explained. You will then know, you are Saved. Once you are Saved, your name will be written in the Book of Life.

Salvation is not about feelings. Perhaps you do not feel a change because you were just as loved by God before you made the invitation for Jesus to come into your heart.

If you want to feel Jesus at work in your heart, be Jesus to your brothers and sisters, live his life in your time and place. This is where feelings will guide you, in your own place and time, in your present day relationships. Love others as he loves you and then you will feel him.

You know you are saved because God intends that you be saved, Jesus has paved the way and, it sounds like you have accepted him as your Savior. What change is needed to be felt?

You don't feel a change because you have difficulty deluding yourself. Picture yourself burning in Hell for all eternity and see if you can't conjure up some delusional thinking like the true believers.

I know you have been brainwashed from birth to believe in a Supreme Being and believe that after you die you will either go to a place of eternal bliss or eternal torment, so I have little hope of convincing you otherwise, but let me try.

How can you believe in a God who would allow beings to be tortured for all eternity because they didn't believe that a Jew born 2000 years ago was actually God in a man's body and that when he was executed by the Romans it was a symbolic sacrifice, acceptance of which is necessary for salvation. That was quite a run-on sentence wasn't it? Did you know that the Deification of Jesus was not really accepted by many of his followers until several generations after his death? A council was held and all the different views were hammered out until a majority of the council finally came up with a more or less unified view. It was kind of like a bill that has to be modified until it can get by both houses of congress.

Let's think about heaven for a minute. The reason 99% of the world is going to Hell is that God insisted on "Free Will" and we just couldn't handle it. We'll have to check Free Will at the door before we go into Heaven. Surely He knows that if we retain it all Hell will break loose in Heaven. The next thing you are going to have to get rid of is your memory. You're bound to notice a lot of folks you loved aren't there if you have your memory and unless you have to give up the ability to think you're going to know that if they aren't there they have to be somewhere and the only other "somewhere" is "down there!" Or maybe instead of giving up your memory you can just have your conscience and your compassion pruned so you won't care that people are roasting in the basement. You are going to have to give up so much of what constitutes "you" in order to be fit for heaven that it won't actually be "you" any more.

Like I said, I know I can't convince you so you will continue to be tormented by what you perceive as your personal failing and your fear of eternal punishment. I feel sorry for you because I was once in your shoes but I was finally able to look at religion objectively and see it for what it was. Superstition. I hope your tormented mind finally finds the peace which passes all understanding by looking squarely at religion, examining it objectively and discovering for yourself that it is false knowledge.

Good luck on your quest for the truth.

I had the same experience when I finally accepted Jesus. Sort of felt dry after lots of exciting experiences and "my heart" didn't feel different.
I would suggest you continue to pray and read the word. Find a spirit filled church (evangelical would be my choice) and talk to others about their experiences.
I didn't find it helpful for people to say "were you sincere" or "you don't have strong enough faith" -and later found out that these are actually excuses that were given to Job when he went through his trials.
One of the most encouraging scriptures that I rested in was "I will never leave you or forsake you" Hebrew 13:5
and
"Before I was born the LORD called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name."
Isaiah 49:1

It's not like taking a pill and feling better. Asking Jesus into your heart makes you a Christian but you need more than that. I have been a Christian for many years. I only function well as a Christian when I stay open to Him. This invvolves (for me) going to a Christian church, reading the bible, and daily prayer. Prayer doesn't have to be down on your knees and all, I pray all the time, driving to work for a good day, for the fact that I have a job, You might try going to joelosteen.com and signing up for their daily emails. They will help you learn practical means of faith that will help you. Welcome, Bro.

I will assume you ask with a sincere heart. Not everyone feels different when they get saved. Some feel overjoyed. But seriously what you must remember you can not rely on how you feel. Better to base your salvation on facts. This page on my site will give you some verses that will help assure you of your salvation. Salvation is based on facts through God's word. Take time to review at least the verses there.

If you push the word back on the top of the page it will take you to a Bible study section that has basic Christian helps called How to grow in Christ Or click below to go to that section. The verse in each section I know will help you out.

The experience was wonderful so much peace, to me when a person gets saved he has and unforgettable experience with the lord, and you don't want to do the things you use to do there is a change of heart in different areas of your life and people do see this in you.

Just believe that you have accepted him, talk to him daily (through prayer and normal conversations), Read the Word, and you will eventually notice a change in your life. If you do this consistently, you will notice that you change the way you speak, the way you think, the actions you do, etc. Your heart will start lining up with Gods if you are willing! It is not an "instant" thing. It takes much dedication on our part and willingness, but God will always be there for us and you WILL see a change!
