Maybe, depends on what and how much the mouse ate.
Happens all the time, really, in the wild, what with all the poisons we humans dump into the environment. Little things get poisoned and bigger things eat a lot of the little things and die of too much of the poison.

As a wildlife rescuer I see birds of prey and scavengers that have been poisoned by eating a poisoned rodent all the time. It's a ghastly way to die!

Yes, unfortunately it is. Most rat/mouse poison works because it is an anticoagulant, and it works for any warm-blooded creature, including birds and humans.

most likely since when a cat eats a posioned mouse it normally gets sick as well it normally doesn't die due to the difference in size the owl would most likely die

yes. It is like th epesticide thing on plants
The plants were poisned- so the bugs that ate them got poisned>the the fish that ate the bugs got sikc>so th ebirds that ate the bugs got sick> so th eggs of the birds got weak> and the birds became endagered.
