I moved and tried to change my personality. I tried to not be as shy. It worked some but in the end I am who I am.

I did. I have a hyphenated last name (includes my stepdad's name,) hair cut, and life. When I lived in TN, my hair was down to my waist and brown-black, and my main interest was art. Then I moved to CT. Now my hair's in 1 1/2 inch spikes, it's been every color from vampire red to bleached blonde, and now brown black, and I work as a radio news anchor.
I know for certain that nobody in my former high school classes would recognize me, especially now that my voice has changed significantly from broadcast training.

This doesn't answer your question, but something i thought i would share. I move from country to country very often, every three or so years. In each country i try out a completely different outlook in school not at home. Very interesting to see how people treat you differently based on how you behave during school. In one place i am shy, reserved, dumb acting. In another place i am active in school life, outgoing, fun. In another place i try to blend in as "normal" but that never works for me. It's really fun for me since i like to observe people.

Moved to another country for about one year.....and hated it....I looooove America! I am so patriotic. I love good and not so good here. Ya can change your hair or pretty much do what ya like anywhere at any time...but my home is here.
