At 6 weeks the puppy's sight is still not fully clear, but a vet will be able to tell you if it is blind or not.

Blue eyed dogs are not blind all blind many dogs can have blue eyes sometimes they have one blue eye and one brown eye but they are still not blind
most signs that tell us dogs are blind are bumping into things and also the eyes can look blue in the sunlight and hazy
also a dog can run into things when playing because they are just so full on so please make sure it is blind by your vet

We had a chihuahhua that was born with hydrocephalus and when she was about 5-6 wk old she ran into everything. She could not judge distances. Once we had her on meds for the hydrocephalus, she quit running into things and her condition was controlled with meds until she was close to 4 yr old when her condition worsened greatly and we lost her. Your pup may have a treatable condition. Best to take her to the vet and he can check her sight.

Put your hand in front of her face with a treat (preferably one that does not emit a strong smell) in between your fingers move your hand to the side of her face and move it in several directions. If the dog stares blankly or shows no interest try this with a few other of her favorite objects (toys, ect.) if the dog shows no interest and never glances at your hand for more than a few seconds take her into your vet and they will tell you for sure.

A vet visit would be appropriate, but if you can't, hold the puppy and swing your hand fast at the eyes. The pup should blink. It's a natural reaction.

many times it takes a on a similar time as for domestic dogs to open their eyes. If the canine couldnt see then it could stumble upon partitions and stuff if it has began walking. The canine is smelling around because of the fact its attempting to get used to the region when you consider that its new to it.

I think the eyes have a blue-ish grey film over the eye/eyes.

Unless that is just for cataract-blindness.

to find out for sure ask your vet, i wonder why people are soo reluctant to ask the vet, they arent your enemies, plus you should probably have all the puppies and the mother checked out to make sure they are in good health

how about the vet. or maybe get all the dogs to follow you or try throwing their toys so they need to go and run to get it.
good luck

go right infront of her and swing your hand at her like you might hit her. DONT ACTUALLY HIT HER. if she flinches then she's not blind.
