Don't do it, your body will not get all the calories/nutrients it needs and will go into starvation mode...you body will even store the fat you already have.

Shoot for 1500 calories if your trying to lose weight.

You never mentioned quantities. Usually those numbers of calories are only for a small serving. Did you count out everything you ate (numbers, weights, etc.)? Or perhaps you just don't need as much food as others to feel full...I know that 60 calories of dark chocolate is not very much at all. It would take a lot more for me to feel that.

not healthy. with crash diets you lose water weight and muscle not fat plus you dramatically slow down your metabolism whic will make fat loss in future a lot harder. also you would gain back more than lost as soon as start eating normal.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Diets come and go, so do the right thing and do the research for your size and sex(M/F). If your a young lady, it seriously bad for you to be on a 740 cal diet, will effect so many things of your enternal organs, ovaries, kidneys, pancreatis, and so on. If your cycle is missed or spots occurs, stop your diet. Go for more of a 1200-1800 calory diet and with minor exercise you will get results, one mile walks will do wonders. Choose good food and that 1800 cal diet will seem like a truck load of food, you wouldn't look so good if your a bag of bones ! Be safe and take care !

Not healthy. Anything less than 1,000 calories a day is considered a starvation diet. 740 calories a day is not enough for your body to run properly, it will be starving even if you don't feel like it is. It's dangerous.

YIKES
that really depends
are you an athlete??
if you are then nooo way.
you should eat about 1500 if you are an athlete and you want to lose weight
but if you arent
then..
just test it out for about a week
if you feel lightheaded
or you get a headache
or you feel weak
as if you cant go anywhere or do anything
i say stop if you want to lose weight just balance your diet
if your planning on eating out for dinner
just barely eat anything for breakfast and lunch
maybe a fruit salad or something?
WISH YA LUCK!
HOPE I HELPED :D

An adult is suppose to eat 2,000 calories a day and a child/teen 2,500....you should try to eat at least 1,300 a day depending on the amount of exercise you practice and your age...if you're a teen then you need to eat way more than that since you are on the developing process.

Your body needs a certain amount of calories to function. You really don't want to hurt yourself this way, because stuff like that can be permanent. Go to

http://www.mypyramid.gov/mypyramid/index.aspx

if you are worried about your calorie intake. It will tell you what kinds of food and how much food you should eat to be healthy based on your lifestyle.

Id say no, if your trying to lose weight heat 6 meals though out the day. Think of your metabolism as as a fire you got to keep feeding it in order to have it burning

It may hurt your weight lose in order to lose weight you have to put something into the body (it has to be healthy though) If you avoid food like that you metabolism will slow and when you want to lose weight you want it to increase (it slows because your body thinks you are starving it and therefore stores everything you put in it to prepare for starvation kinda like when bears hibernate)
