Is Junior now a cheat since an illegal part was found on his car tonight or are the excuses yet to come from Earnhardt Nation?
(DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) -- While Dale Earnhardt Jr. waited out the rain in his motorhome, NASCAR inspectors found an illegal part on his Chevrolet.
The rear wing on his Car of Tomorrow was mounted incorrectly, and NASCAR confiscated the brackets used to hold it in place during the pre-race inspection Saturday night at Darlington Raceway.)

This only shows, once again, that the majority of the Dale Earnhardt fans are two-faced, besides being dangerous to the sport (the throwing of beer cans has hurt the image of NASCAR), and that they are ignorant slobs.
I still do not understand how a nice guy like Dale Jr. (and a good ambassador to the sport) collected such a huge following of obnoxious retards as a fan base.
I know and you know Dale had nothing to do with this part being declared illegal, and his crew may not have even known that NASCAR would find it illegal.
However, if this was Gordon or Johnson, the ignorant slobs of the Earnhardt base would be screaming bloody murder.
Dale needs to chuck his fan base and collect a group of fans that are decent people and good for the sport. Dale is just too good a driver and a person to have these pigs as fans.
PS: To Joe D and Gregs111--yes, NASCAR provides the wing, but for heck's sake, they do NOT mount it!!! The crew still has to attach it and then it goes for inspection after the car is put together. C'mon!! You did not know that???

The wings are provided by NASCAR, just up to the teams to install them.
Im sure the thing that will come out of Earnhardt Nation will be Teresa is sabotaging Dale Jr. If thats the case, Teresa is a sick *****, that would be for sure.

I am a Hendrick fan and I can tell you that a fine probably will be in order for either Tony Eury Jr. or Teresa Earnhardt. Really, it is not that big of deal when you compare it to Michael Waltrip's big screwup at Daytona. Everyone is going to be talking about where Jr. is going to go anyway. To me he doesn't have much of a shot at winning Darlington anyway in the car of tommorrow. And I blame that on DEI equipment.

Simple mistake, thats all there was to that. I know that nascar allows the Hendrick Company to cheat and they pay off all the other drivers and owners. Ha Ha Ha. Go # 24, 48 and 5. Oh, and 25 until Little E replaces the drivers of that car next year.

Jr.'s crew chief just got caught like Chad do in Daytona. Everyone's pushing the envelop and trying to get that edge. As long as it's caught before the race, or penalized severely if caught after the race, I have no problem with everyone trying to get everything they can out of the cars.

I firmly believe all teams cheat where they can get away with it, they just got caught. In a sport where everyone has the same templates, the same aero package the crew chiefs will do any little thing to get their team even the slightest advantage and feel the risk is outweighed by the reward.

If it had been a Hendrick car, officials would have turned their head and never mentioned it at all. Let them run it and stink up the show like every other race.

What in the HELL are you talking about? NASCAR, if it did happen would have found that before the cars lined up for the race and you would have heard about it on the news and I have not heard a thing.
