I have a Glock 9mm which I bought from a sport's store.
I have never fired it, and would rather have the money in the
bank than the gun in the closet. Where can I get the resale values of guns?

Well if it is new and never fired you should be able to get back what you paid for it by selling it to an individual... ! would not drop the price down more than $25.00 from what you paid for it...

Guns and Ammo or Shooting Times put out a buyers guide once a year. The prices listed are for new guns though.

My wife just bought a Glock 23 at the last local gun show for just about 500 Dollars. A used Glock will sell for about three to four hundred dollars depending on what condition it is in.

Although they may have had a few thousand rounds put through them they still hold a good resale value. Since yours is "new" but used, you may be able to get about four hundred for it as long as it is not nicked, scratched or cosmetically damaged. It is kinda hard to hurt a Glock.

Whatever you do, don't take it to a pawn shop, they will give you half of it's book value (yes there's a gun value book, just like for cars that the pawn shops use) as a used gun. Basically you will be giving it away. Try the following sites to see what you may be able to get for it.

The best method is to check the value in a book such as the Gun Traders Guide. This publication has values based on conditions. As far as the actual sale and depending on your state regulations, you can either place an add in the classifieds or consign your gun at a local gun store. However as with any commodity it is worth what someone is willing to pay. Good luck.

www.gunbroker.com or www.gunsamerica.com
I have bought and sold guns through there. you will need to transfer it to whomever buys it through an ffl. you should be able to get around 500 for your never fired glock but you can price it out through there. I would definately not sell it back to a store cause they are going to try to jerk you.

Take it to a reputable gun shop and they will be able to give you an honest reasonable idea of the Glocks value. Otherwise just search the net and see what you come up with.

I have never got a decent offer in a gunstore. It doesn't hurt to ask what they will give you for it, but I'm sure it won't be satisfactory.
You could watch a few on auction sites like auctionarms.com or gunbroker.com and see what some go for there.
