I would say the greater the faith the greater the distance from reality.

No. It seems to me the greater your faith, the easier it is to bear trials. Of course, Job may have developed a different view.

Speaking only for myself. It has always seemed that when I have made great strides in my faith walk, there has always come a test or trial to let me know that my faith has grown.

That is not to say that great faith attracts great trials, but I do think that our trials give us the opportunity to see where we are, along with where we have been.

Perhaps ... I'd have to add however, that the greater the faith, the fewer the trials too.

well it might seem like that, however, remember the Bible tells us that God never gives us more than we can handle. Of course, He will help us handle it and give us the tools-emotionally and physically and spiritually to face the trials and come through stronger than ever. Maybe these trials are preparing us for something else in the future or so we can help others with similar problems.

Somebody told me that the more things we don't understand about the universe, the more we need faith. A long time ago they had faith in things like how germs worked and faith that they wouldn't sail off the edge of the world.

It seems like the dumber you are, the more faith you need, which is kinda neat. God works in wonderful ways. Really stupid people would see proof of existance for god every time the garbage disposal worked!

Why have faith if you get tested to the max?????
I believe there is a god, and i have prayed at certain times in my life, but if its not one thing it seems to be another. I definitely don't believe he gives you only what you can handle. I'm a pretty strong person but the crap I'm dealing with now makes me wake up and say i honestly don't think i can handle this.
If this is a way of getting me to go to church etc.... it's the wrong way about it. No disrespect to anyone this is just my opinion. Hope this helps. Blessed be.

Yes true, the more greater your faith, the more temptation you will face ........... not trials. I think God doesn't trial your faith, only satan/lucifier does.

Think of this, satan tries everthing to seperate you from God by all means that might include temptation and trials.
