Yes, you can. Heed warning that if you do this, it will make your compressor "soft" and likely make it (over time) so you can never use it again. Measure the distance for the belt without the compressor and go to your local auto parts place and they should have one. You can tell them what you are doiung and they will also get you the right belt.

Dorman makes a special bypass pulley for the Taurus to replace the A/C compressor. The part number is 34166. It bolts up in the stock location of the compressor and has a pulley the same size as the A/C clutch so that you can continue to use the original size belt. They usually run $20.00 to $30.00 on average, and you can get or order them at your local auto parts store.

Usually not. That model has only one belt, commonly called a serpentene belt. It has to do with the belts routing. Also depends how the belt routes to the next component. I would not advise you do this because you can install it bypasing the AC and cause some components to run backwards

Your local auto parts store can give you the correct size belt. Don't bypass the A/c compressor unless it is frozen.
