At the present time, I think that modern science can give you a more accurate time frame for that information. The bible isn't meant to be taken literally, nor was it recorded as the events were happening, it is a collection passed on by word of mouth until it was recorded on paper.

The Bible just says: in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The Bible gives a timeline back to the creation of Adam and Eve, but before them it mentions the creative days of God which no one can clearly say how long each creative day was as God's concept of time is not the same as ours. This earth is more than likely, billions of years old since light from stars is reaching here from many lightyears away.

Around 5000BC, 7000 years ago something happened that is the beginning of something in our history, I use other types of religions and things I know of in science to find anomalies that corresponds with ideas within the other.
I find the Mayans most interesting, they're very old also. They were here and gone before most of us got started, but very intelligent in some areas.
It's odd how their religion imitates others in the world when they were so far away from the rest.

nowhere in the bible does it say when the earth was created.
there are a lot of events recorded and ages of people's lifetimes, but that's not something I would use to estimate the age of the earth.
It might indicate when the first humans became god-consious creatures after inspiring the breath of God (Adam & Eve).

Defnitley not the world has existed for millions of years. the estimate modern man has only been around since 5000BC. In the bible it says god created the world the oceans ect and only after a while does it say it creates man. In the bible it says it in days. but days didnot exist since the sun did not exist. it could be incorect translations. but it could be millions or billions of years between each day.
hope that helps

relating anything factual to the bible is a mistake.nobody will ever know the age of any planet in our nature created universe.look only to scientific fact if you want an estimate, and that would only be a guess.

God knows. Definitely not millions of years like scientist said.
The great flood destroyed everything, so it's hard to predict the correct time of creation.
We didn't even know how many years between the time of 'Adam and eve' and 'before the beginning of great flood'.
