If i were a cop, and another cop was doing something wrong, he could kiss his butt goodbye because I would tell on him. If he tried to kill me, i'd get the drop on him and he'd go first. I hate loser cops!!! I use to be a corrections officer and I did tell on one of my fellow officers once. He hated me, but too bad. What makes him think he can get away with things others cannot.

Even if it was a group of fellow officer doing wrong, they could kiss their butts goodbye too. Intimidation by many is just a word. We all have to go sometime.

I wouldn't I have my own code that comes before all others. I liked CGIV answer but maybe Blue Steel saw the rerun. haha
I fought the blue code of silence for years and hate all that stick to it. When in my past answers I have said things like cops are the slime of the planet, these code keepers are what i am referring to. Seriously I DO have documentation that several cops in Trempealeau County WI knew what was going on with serial rapist cop Dan Wineski and did nothing. One admitted to the investigating agents that he was with Dan in the squad when Dan would stake out houses with underage girls and use binoculars to watch them undress through windows. he hasn't been a cop for some time and word on the street is that it was because of his sexual misconduct in uniform. If you swear to enforce the law it means just that, No selective law enforcement. Think I'm joking about Dan download and listen it's an hour long but all true

Having never been in that situation, I can not give you an accurate answer. I would hope that I would stand up and tell but I really don't know.

I have been in management positions in large corporations and have reported other managers for wrong doing.

Integrity is more important than loyalty when someone is breaking the law.
Handling it in house is more the norm than "Serpico." No one wants to work with a crooked, dirty officer.

Life's not really like the movies. I wouldn't tolerate a fellow officer stealing evidence/abusing arrestees, etc.

It makes you all look bad.

Some things are taken care of in house.

However, it isn't like TV where everything is covered up. Illegal activity is reported on and acted upon.

Blue Steel, you're showing your age. No one remembers the movie Serpico.
