I'd consider it if it's reasonably priced. I'd expect it to be at least $50 cheaper than a comparable Windows laptop.

I run a linux operating system on my desk top computer, although it is not Ubuntu. Linux has its advantages and has its down falls, but unlike windows based computers it hasn't crashed. Web browsing is a lot faster.

I still keep a windows computer around for those downfalls in linux, or should i really say those short comings. Both systems have their values in the computing world.

The system requirements are very low for Linux. I would buy a new Vista based computer and convert my old computer to Linux. Another option would be a new dual boot Vista - Linux computer.
