Who says that if the U.S. leaves Iraq, that it can't come back later if things go really wrong there?

Do you realize the costs involved in moving armies ? If the US does leave the middle east, it will need to return because Iran and Syria will escalate their expansion program, and the rest of the middle east will retaliate against them !

As it is, the US is the one deterrent that prevents this expansion. All that would be accomplished by using your tactics, is a quicker escalation of the conflict, one that would include all of the middle east !

Things have already gone wrong-a long time ago. This war has nothing to do with freedom or 9/11, Iraq never posed a threat to our nation, do your research. Going to war with Iraq has caused more harm than good, we are not safer, the Iraqis have less freedoms now than when Saddam was in charge. I just recently heard a high-ranking military leader say that we should try to put a dictator in charge. What nonsense. So we have spent billions to come to the conclusion that maybe Saddam was good for Iraq after all? Perhaps not, but what gives us the right to force our will on another nation and put pupit officials in office. If you are a thinking person you would realize that when millions of people are refugees because of our actions we are operating in double think. Operation Iraqi Freedom? Give me a break.

Because if things go wrong it would be more difficult to return, it could become much more dangerous and I think a country like Iran would internally destabilize Iraq in order to profit from it.
