Well were do I start????
@ 9pm I decided to go 4 a walk with my pup (6mth old)
I get about 20 min into the walk to meet a family dispute.
A guy trying to attack a woman with a knife! She was screaming @ me to call the police but thinking I was just going on a small walk didn't take my mobile.
I was banging on the unknown guys door to call the police, after I had tried to speak to them with them dithering on asking a load of bloody stupid Q's: Then all I heard was hide your dog????? confused so was I.
All of a sudden these two massive Dobes came running towards me & my dog the started to attack my dog & I was fighting with them trying to get them off, I had to let go of my own lead stand on it so he couldn't run off then I had my hands free to grab these Dobes so they couldn't rip mine in 2.
Apparently the dogs had been trained to do this! What kinda mental case trains there dogs to do that????
I know the woman, she asked me to hurry get home & pick her up checked dog went back out, th

Wow, sounds like a relaxing walk with your dog turned into anything but relaxing.
I would report the guy with the dogs. Those dogs could have killed or injured your puppy or you. Who can say what will happen the next time some unsuspecting person comes to their door with a dog or small child? He obviously didn't have any control over them or didn't care what they did to you or your dog either.
Good luck!

I'm really sorry about this! I know you may be a little skittish right now but you need to take action! Call the police and report the dogs, the knife, and all the other crazy things that went on. I mean what if he really is mental and goes after someone else, and REALLY hurts them? I hope your dog is okay by the way! Any way report the idiot, take a nice relaxing shower and go to bed. You'll feel a lot better in the morning when all is said and done. : )

Definitely report him. These dogs are dangerous in the hands of this crazy man.
What a horrible experience for you and your poor pup. You are probably both really shaken up by it all. I recommend going with him to a good training class so that you can both make sure you can relax when other dogs are around - otherwise, your pup may develop big problems with other dogs. Also, you will need to get your confidence up - you don't realise how much these kinds of things affect you.

right ok two things, firstly u need to report the man with the knife to the police for definitly, secondly u need to go to the animal control people and tell them what has occured, they will investigate and probally remove the dogs from the man. Also id lavish love on ur own puppy as he/she will have been effected by it, u need to get your pup out there again for more walks so he/sshe knows that it was a one off etc, good luck with all that.

You went back without calling the police? You were either very brave or very foolish. Call the police immediately. The dogs must be taken by RSPCA to be checked, because to train them like that is illegal and if they cannot be retrained they would have to be destroyed. It could have been someone with a child and not you in danger. This guy obviously needs questioning and I would also query what the woman had to say too. You are very lucky to be unscathed!

I would definitely call the police. What if this persons dogs get out and attack someone else or a kid or even your dog again? How will you feel then if you didn't call? You have a responsibility to do the right thing. Just becareful, I would hate for this freak to do something to you. What kind of neighborhood do you live in? Yikes girl!

Wow I would say you had a crazy night. Yes, I would report this all to the police. That's crazy and those dogs shouldn't be trained to do that. That's nutz what if some kids would be walking past and they attacked someone. Completely not right.

This sounds crazy! Sorry you had to go through this!
You need to report the whole incident to the police. Not only the dogs (their behaviour and training), but also the "knife incident" It looks like this is a really disfunctional family. These people need help. Their dogs too.
Please dont ignore it. The police needs to know and take action. You need to do this also for your future safety. Be strong and best of luck!

This EXACT thing (minus the couple fighting with a knife) happened to my mom. We had to involve the police, it went to court, and the dogs' owner had to either give the dog up to a farm where it wouldn't be near the street and people, or put it down. My mom won a small settlement....and nobody got seriously hurt. Just my mom....who is still afraid to walk the dog. Soooo sorry this happened to you.

The guy sounds like someone on drugs. He has trained the dogs to attack to rpotect his home against cops, etc. Your friend is in grave danger. She will probably be attacked and killed by her boyfriend?? I wouldn't just worry about the dogs. Your friend needs to get awayy from that situation. Since you put yourself into the middle of what was going on, even your life could be in danger. Call the cops. Let them handle it.
