I pray all the repressed moderate and secular Iranian people give de stuck in the 15thc islamofascist mad mullahs the boot before Iran attacks Israel and before Iran has a nuke bomb.Olmert failed to protect the people, failed to eliminate Hezbollah for its Syrian supplied, armed, trained and funded by Iran attacks launched from Lebanon into Israel.Olmert's poor military stewardship was tentative.Olmert was improperly influenced by and responsive to the USA and EU whisperings for Israel to "take it easy". Israel won't repeat the same mistake. When Iran launches a deranged military attack, just like post WW2 Dresden, there won't be much left standing in Iran or Syria.USA and Israel are formal diplomatic, political, trade and military allies.

America will definitely side with Iran because it considers Israel as the only nation in the Middle East that will champion democracy.

Iran is a country that has a rich history - first as the Persian Empire. It then became Persia, which then became Iran. The United States funded a military coup through the CIA in the 50s, placing the Shah in power (just like they placed Karzai in power in Afghanistan a couple years ago, he was Dick Cheney's business partner in the oil industry) There was a political movement in Iran by hardliners in the 1970s, when they took the Americans hostage. Keep in mind these are highly islamic conservatives. Iran is now controlled by a conservative, highly unfortunate government. The leadership there is controlled by a "supreme leader", who makes all final decisions. So if any president wants to make ammends with the United States, it will be quite impossible due to this man's dispicable own agenda. The United States has funded, and will continue to fund Iran with money, weapons, or aid whenever it is feasible for them to do so.

Israel, on the other hand, faces a lot of controversy throughout the world - their "occupation" or their "land, nobody can say for certain. But they have always been supported by the United States with weapons, intelligence, and lots of cash. Isreal benefits tremendously from the United States and especially its media outlets, as none of its atrocities are mentioned - only rock-throwing palestenians are shown.

Keep in mind that Iran has on MULTIPLE occasions tried to ammend relations with the west, in particular the United States. On September 12, 2001, one day after 9/11, over ONE MILLION people gathered in Tehran (capital of Iran) to show their support for this country in a candle light vigil.

The United States wants to be an imperial country, and will not deal with anyone unless it is on their own terms. This is why the whole world hates us.

88% of Iraqis want us out, 47% of Iraqis support attacks against US troops. WHY are we attempting to become an empire?

first the Americans???? Or the white House. we don't seem to be standing together.

First the White House will have to create a war. Then we will stand by Israel hoping all Americans will stand by Israel as our duty (bible)

I don't think any one will stand by the war. To many know what is going on.

Both sides. And it's happening now. War is in Iraq. But America is cozying up with Iran and Syria who happen to be both birthplaces of troublemakers in Iraq. Got it? During the Iran-Iraq war, the US was physically on Iraq's side but it was supplying arms to Iran at the same time.

Israel, of course. Why support a nation that's dedicated to the destruction of the US and all our roots and beliefs? We have enough of that here in the Democrat party.
