Some 18-year-old Born-Again Christian from a Non-Denominational Church told me they do. Is it true?

You Born Again Christian is exacerbating the problem.

Religion does not have a political party, although our society may make you think it does. God doesn't judge you based on whether or not you support illegal immigrants, it's how you live your life that actually matters. There IS such a thing as a Christian democrat who has gone to heaven, just as there IS such a thing as a Republican that has gone to hell!

Let's see.... Im a Democrat an a Catholic. I dont thinkI will go to hell I lead a good life for the most part(no one is perfect) and believe that God will forgive me if I ask for forgiveness.

Truly no one will know until the Last Day the time of Judgement is here. Will they?

a persons Politcal stance does not deem where you go it is how you live your life.

PS Not all Democrats are prochoice....

of course they do becuase the democrats lie and say they are for the people when the excat opposite is true research what the dems have done for illinois ameren power company giving the dems enough kickbacks was able to raise the power bills 200-300 percent of the citizens of illinois . that is taking food off the tables off illinois cictizens , if you dont live in illinois dont be sad that your left out the dems have passed a huge tax increase for 2010 so they will be taking a big chunk out of your paycheck soon . president clinton signing nafta into law cost 100s of thousands of usa jobs and it keeps getting worse .

I'm not sure what he is basing that on, but it sounds like he is misinformed. It may be a good way to meet the needs of a personal agenda, but that's all.
If he is basing it on the bible, which all christians say that is the source to go by, then no.
Like someone else already said, politics & salvation are not the same thing. It is not based on our performance, as we will never live up to those standards. It has to do with what He did.
It's called grace.
If we believe, then we will go to heaven, period.
God is the one who decides, not any one of us.
Judgement is not ours

Well, no-not everyone of them.
Unfortunately millions of democrats in the USA claim to be Christians, yet they vote for things that a Christian would not vote for (actually, there are some republicans who do the same). Most conservative Christians believe that abortion is murder. Their thinking is,- that no one who is a "real" Christian could vote for abortion. Therefore, if you are a democrat-then you can not be a real Christian. If you are not a Christian- then you go to hell.

Last I checked, there is no political affiliation required to go to heaven. People like that Born Again Christian are the reason why I don't put a bumper sticker on my car, because I would be the only person who voted democrat at my church.

Let's take a look at some analogies here and tell me whether this aligns up with the DNC or GOP
Which party is more likely to say
James 2:15-17
15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

How about John 8:1-12 (the woman caught in the act of adultery and Jesus response to it - too long to post here)
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%208:1-12;&version=31;

I see one party more obsessed with national security than in taking care of the problems at home, and also see that same political party more concerned with tax cuts than in helping the least of these (who will be our future generations).

No, I hope that God won't be taking only the GOP to heaven, because while there are some wonderful Christians who support the GOP agenda, there are also a lot of Democrats who see the hypocracy of the agenda of the GOP party and feel that this agenda does not support what Jesus taught us to do.

Let me finish with one post that changed my viewpoint from the once saved always saved to realizing that salvation is constantly worked out with fear and trembling. That is the one about the sheep and the goats that are separated and is found in the book of John:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=47&chapter=7&verse=21&end_verse=23&version=31&context=context
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

that is the most retarded thing i have ever heard, christians are the only ones goin to hell, they are the ones who believe in it. And the evangelical republicans just want to hurry along teh end of the world. so why dont YOU make the decision for yourself, are you gonna listen to someone brainwashed by a 2000 year old, re written, edited, omitted, re edited, re written book that says if you dont believe in me exactly you go to hell.

hmmm hard choice, globally accepted psychosis or thinking for yourself

No hell is a non-existent bogeyman made to keep people in line.

They just say that because the Democratic Party in general does not support the christian right and tends to be more liberal and open in comparison.

No. Christ would have voted Democrat, though I suspect he'd think they were a bit right-wing for his tastes. In any case, there is no hell, so it doesn't matter either way.
