I never heard of making your own casings, if it is bullet casings you are talking about.

All of the major ammo/firearms companies sell brass (casings).

Federal
Remington
Winchester
Etc

there is also Starline Brass (very nice brass) and a few others ot there including imports from Brazil, Russia, China, Africa, Israel, etc. For new brass, just check out companies like Cabelas, MidwayUSA, Brownelles, and for used brass there is always eBay and numerous companies out there that sell once fired or new brass.

Get it while it's hot, though. The prices for brass has risen steadily for the past few months!

It's not something most individuals could afford to do. I saw some machines that were military surplus used to form necks on 20mm casings and the machines were were over $100,000.
If you are looking to acquire your own cases, bulk purchases of new or once fired brass would probably work. However, if you require millions of casings (say you want to start an ammo company) there are brass casing manufacturers that will produce them for you and will even give you a custom headstamp if you purchase enough. I did hear of one company that would do this, I forget what company it was, but I think it may be starline. But you would need to order one huge amount of casings.

Well making brass is impossible for the average joe, about the only way to make it would be in a factory, and those machines are extremely expensive more than a ferari. I would suggest looking into a good reloading press one that will meet your needs, reliable, and will fit your budget, you can buy brass in bulk or if you have buddies who shoot the same ammo collect it from them if they will let you without having to reload for them. you can also buy the bullets which is nice because you can pick the type of bullet for specific needs, target practice, competition, big game, small game, tank busting, whatever. It's really convenient and cheap, do some research though don't be quick to buy a press and materials know what they are for, and what they can do. hope this helps.

Everyone buys the brass in bulk either used or new. You buy ammo making tools at the gun shop, any gun shop. You do not make your own brass casings. never heard of it

It's a fairly complicated process that requires a great deal of expensive equipment and precise procedures. You basically CAN'T do it at home.
