Is it cheating when you are flirtying with people on the internet?

and if it isn't to you would you still stop or minimize it if you knew it was hurting the person you were with?

O.k... I'm not the one doing this... my ex was the one always onthe comp and what not... and it really botherd me....

Yes, and Yes you cant just flirt with people on the inter that you dont even know and what if they are a pirv or a sicko who wants to ...... and to every one who reads this if you really liked the person you were with alot you wouldnt have flirted in the first place but every one flirts so i guess it is ok to do just dont do it to much and dont get sick about it but if it hurts the guy you are with then cut the sh** off besides it doesnt sound that fun for him

honestly if it means nothing to u or the person means nothing, its not really cheating, but it still is hurtful. and u should stop or not do it as much. and if u like the person enough u would understand tht they want someone to be commited. just stop even if u dont really like the ppl u flirt w/. it will help the relationship.

It is cheating if it's hurting the person you're with. What matters and defines the act is the dynamic of your specific relationship.

If I were hurting someone I was with through my actions - there'd be no question. Either I'd stop the action - or end the relationship.

My definition of cheating is this: If you SAY or DO ANYTHING that you would not say or do in the presence of your significant other, then YOU ARE CHEATING! Period. And if that person does willingly say or do things in your presence that compromise your feelings, they should be given ONE opportunity to have you explain how and why you felt compromised, and THAT"S IT! If they aren't willing to listen and understand, (assuring you that they DO), and that it will NEVER happen again, then you would be compromising your own values NOT to move on down the road, AND giving them permission to...not only do it again, but DO IT AGAIN AND THEN SOME!

Yeah i think it is considered cheating becuase it doesn't matter if u can't see them in person, u are still flirting. Its the same if u are talking on the phone. Don't do it cuz it gets the other person jealous, angry, and very hurt.

I dont think its cheating if you are flirting as long as you dont share an emotional connection with that person and you dont go further than the internet.

It is cheating if you hide it from your partner. If it is hurting the one you are with then they must think that it is cheating. It can lead to cheating if you do not think it is cheating itself. For some talking to others is just entertainment. It is up to the people how they think.

it all depends if the guy or gal takes the other person's phone number and address of where they live. and if they keep talking to the same person on the internet. my husband did that to me because he knew this lady on his yahoo i.d and i basically told him it was either me or her that had to go. cause i didnt like this lady friend and he knew it. well to make the story short he dont talk to her anymore. cause i gave him a choice if he wanted his family to stay around, meaning his children and me.
