Go get the book called Jumpstart Your Metabolism by Pam Grout. It will teach you how to do the type of deep breathing techniques that will make you lose weight. In addition your stamina will increase as well so the running you do in soccer will become easier.Until you can buy the book here is the basic technique that you should use.
Inhale through your nose for a count of 2.Hold that breath for a count of 8, then exhale that breath through your mouth for a count of 4 squeezing all the air out using your abdominal muscles.
You start with 2 and work up to 10 with the formula always being to hold the breath you inhaled for 4 times the number of seconds you inhaled for and exhaling it through your mouth for 2 times as long as you inhaled it. So 10 would look like this: Inhale for a count of 10 hold for 40 and exhale for 20. Remember to inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. You should feel your belly rising when you inhale and deflating when you exhale.
Don't be fooled by the simplicity of this breath. It is WORK and it will work.I lost 20 lbs.in a month doing 30 of these breaths a day.It does get boring and tedious doing them all at once,so I did them while watching commercials. The longer you can inhale for, the longer this exercise takes but that means your lung capacity is increasing and your endurance is improving.DON'T DIET you will shut your metabolism down.I dieted my way all the way up to 200+lbs.Oxygen burns fat that is the reason everyone says to do aerobic exercise it forces you to breathe deeply, increasing your oxygen intake and boosting your fat burning. This kind of breathing does the same thing, without the risk of injury that some activities can cause.
Let me know how much you lose, wish you the best

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

If you don't already, try lifting some weights. It doesn't need to be really intense heavy lifting or anything, science has proven that building lean muscle keeps your metabolism up.

Also drink lots of water and DO NOT starve yourself. If you don't eat enough your body will slow down your metabolism and no matter how hard you work you will not lose weight.
