Hi, how about a personalized book? Kids love to hear their own name in the storyline. Go to this website http://www.tlc-expressions.com They have lots of titles like Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Justice League, Sports titles and so many more. Check it out - they're very reasonably priced, and make a wonderful, unique & special gift... Good Luck!

Well obviously the best thing is to shop around ;-)
But according to my search - in Canadian dollars no less. $20 is can get you neat things like a tee ball stand, bat, and ball.
A sand and water construction set that looks cool.
A tonka back-hoe
A bug magnifier (waaay cool)
I think the ikea train set starter kit is around 20, it's pretty cool
Sheesh a 128mb mp3 player for kids
(yeah yeah this one is pink, I am sure there are other colours: http://www.toysrus.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&productId=117355&N=27+60+23+&nvalue=27)
A drum
A Home Depo Tool set
So anyway there are lots of cool things. Check out Toys R Us, Walmart, Ikea, etc.

My son just turned 6 and boys love to pretend. The new spiderman movie is out and all boys love spiderman. They have this cool dress up spiderman suit with a hood at walmart. My son got one for his birthday and that was his favorite thing.

How about a bike license plate? Or a gift card to the $ store? Little kids love that.
Also, my little bro LOVES toy weapons. He's 9. Or a gift card to a fast food/dessert place...

I always try to stay away from toys. I usually go for books. But I also like to put together a variety of things. If he likes to draw get him a nice art kit, or put together one yourself. Get a plastic box and put in some paper, pencils, paints, crayons, colored pencils, markers, stamps, stickers, etc.

get him a couple of action figures or a dvd...my six year old loves them or yugioh cards. depends on what he is interested in. or what my mom does is give the kids a limit and takes them to the store and has them pick out what they want and they have ice cream together...or since he has everything take him on an outing to the movies or something..

Tickets to a movie, the children's museum or the zoo, plus the day with his aunt. It will be fun and teach the value of family time.
