Im a Liberal Democrat in LA and...
The troop surge is the only thing I have agreed with Bush on in his 6 years as pres. He has made alot of mistakes, but the dems are going about it in the WRONG way. Im lib on most everything, but we made a mess, and now we gotta clean it up, leaving is not the best option. Not to mention the dems campaign to try and end the war will never work , bush will just veto it. So i dont think we have to worry about the us leaving iraq any time TOO soon. I hope we get outta there someday but right now, or even a year from now is just not enough time to fix what we screwed up.

now if the god damn republicans would just stop trying to control womens bodies, and stop giving tax breaks to the rich and do something realistic about global warming, and get back into serious space exploration; would probalby be a republican again. the dems are diggin a hole for themselves, and the timing couldnt be worse. Serioulsy, Im a registered democrat and I think Im gonna vote for Mc Cain, he is the only one who is being realistic about this situation, hillary and obama are not..

I am a liberal democrat. I do not believe we should leave Iraq at this time let alone 'completely surrender.' It's best not to generalize.

I don't believe that being a democrat or liberal has anything to do with the war in Iraq.
I have voted Republican for more years than you've been on this earth, and I'm 100% against this unjust and illegal war.
We have been there for over four years, wasted over 3300 American lives plus untold thousands of innocent Iraqi's, plus billions of our badly needed tax dollars, and for what? we still have no idea of what it is we are after, as the mission changes daily.
The majority of the American people have at last waken up to the fact that Bush and his war mongering cronies have led us into a war we can't possibly win, and are tired of seeing our young men die for this fiasco, and they are not all liberal or democrat, all based on Bush lies.

It does seem as though many Democrats wish for total American defeat. They certainly work hard to reach that goal.

I Hope not.! America has already LOST the war in Iraq... it's time to declare an American Victory and get the troops out of harm's way.

Tell you what. I propose bringing the troops home from Iraq and replacing them with all the chickenhawks here, till the U.S wins the war.

I feel that if the democrates have us leave to soon we'll pay a high price here at home. It was Cliton who didn't give all ifo, and we paid for it 9-11-01.

Absolutely, I'll accept a phased withdrawal so that we can actually use the troops policing iraq to start fighting international terrorism.

your question would incite outrage if most americans simply didn't care about iraq.

everyone (but you apparantly) knows that iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, the war on terror or american security.

There won't be victory for anybody. There won't be ticker tape parades and marching bands when the troops come home however long you wait.
