It's your wedding, so you have the final say on whether the flowergirls have matching dresses.
Personally, I think it'll be okay as long as they sync with the wedding color theme and each other.

no, depending on size and age you may not get them to match. Some people even have minature brides and a flowergirl.

The dresses should match either in color, material, or style. For ex. you wouldn't want one to wear a blue, satin, straight dress and the other to wear a pink, organza, frilly dress. That would look like one child attended the wrong wedding.

No, it doesn't, but make them complementary in some way - colour accents, flowers, etc.
