Both are too small for full range sound in a home theater. And, IMHO, oblong shapes like 6x8 are weird.
Just listen to various speakers and make your own choice.

None of the full range speakers are very good. Thats why they use seperate components for the differnt ranges. If you just want some simple speakers, either will do. You won't hear much difference.

Full Range 6" speaker normally have paper cones they are designed for general music at low volumes, and they don't produce full range 20Hz-20kHz in any form.
The 6x8 is probably designed for music if its a 2way and the cone is polypropylene and can handle more power

Hi.Visonik have full range speakers 5 x 7 inch and 6 x 8 inch 70 HZ to 22k HZ 60 watts continuous which seems to be pretty good..If you mount them into suitable enclosers they should sound alright.
