a simple * lemon-butter & caper sauce
you can also do -
white wine sauce - saute in some butter minced garlic or shallots for a milder flavor, add some salt & pepper then add white wine and let it simmer until is reduced 1/2 the liquid, add some parsley and/or dill and spoon over the fish.
creamy herb - saute minced garlic & onion in olive oil or butter add your favorite mild herbs (basil, parsley, dill, fennel) then add a tsp. of flour & make a simple pan roux, once flour is cooked add some chicken or fish stock and when it comes to a simmer add some heavy cream, once it reduces it gets thicker, taste & reseason then served.
OK I'm hungry *******
also a tropical sauce with some passion fruit or mango concentrate* saute in butter or olive oil some onion, garlic & bell pepper, add some red pepper flakes for a bit of heat, then to that add a couple tbsp. of mango, orange or passion fruit juice concentrate, add some chickne stock let it reduce to thicken or add a bit of cornstarch disolve in water to make thicker.

Other than teriyaki, I like grilled salmon with a lemon butter sauce with capers. You can also make a dijon wine reduction with raspberries, but don't overdue the wine or it will overpower the salmon.

I love my salmon with loads of fresh lemon,
But i have made a cheese sauce, it's stilton or blue vein cheese melted with white wine, cream and shallots (very rich) does go great with pork or chicken aswell.
Or could try putting a fetta cheese, tomato and basil mix on top, yeh!! i'm hungry
